Why Booking Needs to Catch Up With Padel’s Growth

Padel is booming in the UK. Over the past few years, courts have been opening in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, and beyond. The sport is fast-paced, social, and easy to learn — no wonder more and more people are picking up a racket each week.
But while the sport itself is simple, booking a court often feels far too complicated.
Right now, availability is scattered across different apps and websites. Clubs use a variety of booking systems — from Playtomic, Padel Mates, and MATCHi to Clubspark, MyCourts, and Nettle — which means players often have to check several platforms just to find a single slot. For regular players, this is frustrating. For someone trying padel for the first time, it can be enough of a barrier to stop them from booking at all.
That’s where the idea for Playskan came from.
As players ourselves, we’ve run into this problem countless times — searching across a handful of apps, wasting time, and still struggling to find a court. We thought: if travel has Skyscanner and restaurants have OpenTable, why doesn’t padel have the same?
So we decided to build it.
Playskan is a free website that brings real-time availability from multiple providers into one simple view. You can search by city, compare clubs on price and location, and see available slots up to 10 days ahead. Our mission is to make padel more accessible for everyone — whether you’re just curious to try the sport or you’re a regular player fitting games around a busy schedule.
We believe booking should never be the thing that holds padel back. The sport has so much potential in the UK, and if we can make it easier for people to get on court, we’ll have played our part in supporting that growth.
Padel is growing quickly — it’s time booking caught up.
